Someone cracked the rear passenger window of my car. I just bought it last week. I haven't even driven it yet. I've only sat in the driver's seat once. And my rear passenger window is crazed into thousands of pieces, floating in it's frame. I need to get some packing tape... |

My stepmom, True, called me to tell me one of her friends was selling their car for $2000. As most of you know, I've never had a car, I don't even have a license. If I wasn't going to buy the car, then she was going to get it for my stepbro AJ, since he just got his license. Her friend eventually lowered the price to $1500 after looking up it's actual value. There's much more to this, but long story short, I now own a 95 Geo Prizm. It's technically in True's possession until my 401k loan check comes in next week but w/e. My car. Mine! |

| More experiments in cupcakes |

Tomorrow is one of my roomies' boyfriend's birthdays. So she asked me to help make him some cupcakes. This actually turned into her buying the stuff and me making the cupcakes, but that's just fine by me. We ended up making vanilla cupcakes with strawberry filling and banana cream cheese icing. They were packaged in pirate themed wrappers, sprinkled with gold sugar and topped with little paper Jolly Rogers. So cute! and super noms.
My next experiment is going to be fluffernutter cupcakes. This sunday I have to make cupcakes for my assistant manager's youngest daughter's birthday. I'm also making Italian cream cupcakes for Brad's dad for Father's Day. |

This weekend was ROT rally. I always love seeing all the motorcycles in town, but I didn't get to go downtown and look at all the bikes on 6th this year. Next year, Kim and I are going, and I'll have a motorcycle by then. That's all there is to it.
Went out for sushi last night with Brad. The chefs gifted us with salmon collar. Yum. |

So Brad's birthday was last week and his brother's is this week. His parents are divorced so they took them to two separate birthday dinners this week. Well, they both went to Uchi, yesterday and today. Yesterday was with their mom Cathy, and afterwards he went on about how everything they tried was so good. Today they went with their dad and had everything. Literally everything on the menu, plus off the menu items offered by the chef. So jealous. Ultimately this means I have to go to Uchi for my birthday. |

So I have to decide where we're going to dinner on my birthday.... Brad likes fine dining so I have my pick of literally anywhere in the metro area. My birthday's not til the end of July, but that's a big decision for me! Green Pastures, Imperia, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, Bellagio, Uchi, Sampaio, it's all so hard and the list keeps going on! Anyone have any recommendations? It's not like I'll only ever get to go to a fancy restaurant with him once, he likes to go to these sort of places semi-regularly, but it's my first birthday with him. |

So I thought I loved this boy. And then I tasted his fish.
Pecan and panko crusted snapper with herbed remoulade.
I took my first bite and that was all I needed. My lips closed around the tines of the fork and it melted onto my tongue. As soon as my fork returned to the plate, I leaned back into the couch, my eyes rolled back, my fists clenched and unclenched, the world ceased it's rotation around the sun. As I slowly chewed this first bite, out came the softest moans of absolute pleasure and satisfaction.

For breakfast, brie on water crackers, blueberry muffin and mango nectar.
Made the Italian cream cupcakes, totally nummy, but I have to get used to the oven at the new place. It seems to have a cold spot in it.
Today when Kemi and Toba left, they locked the door behind them, only to have Danielle arrive to a jammed lock. So I had to call maintenance to fix the lock as well as replace the bathroom doorknob. Now everything's in tip top shape. Except I have to work 2-close. >:[ |

Went to the old house to pick up more stuff and feed my fishes. The place is a wreck without me there and with Eric in the process of moving in. Plus Keith is staying there while he's clearing up some legal issues.
Took my piggy to coinstar, so we could turn his innards into more useable forms of currency. $110 in innards. So we snacked on a Crunchy Roll and delice de bourgogne on water crackers, before having steak, shrimp and home fries. Finished up with mango sorbet, orchard peach sorbet and vanilla ice cream. I bought something akin to baby's breath to gussy up the peonies, as well as some irises. Absolutely lovely. Delice de bourgogne is my new favorite cheese.
Tomorrow I make Italian cream cupcakes for his birthday. Saturday he has practice with his band, then we'll be having a small shindig at his bandmate's place.
Sunday we're both off, so we're going to run around Central Market to make a wonderful dindin |

Went with Brad to Osaka Mansun waaaaay up north by his place. Started with pork gyoza, and then came the sushi!
Kappa Maki: Basic cucumber roll. Tastes like home.
Firecracker Roll: Inside out with jalapeno, Avocado, and a couple other yummies, topped with tobiko. Spicy and yummy.
Fujiyama Roll: Warm inside out with eel and a few other things inside, topped with cooked tuna and a spicy sauce. Spicy, yummy, but a bit squish for my taste.
Deluxe Eel Roll: Inside out roll with eel and avocado, topped with slices of baked eel. Heaven.
Shrimp Tempura Roll: Tempura shrimp and other yummies inside sushi. Need I say more?
Salmon Nigiri: I didn't try, but Brad was in heaven.
Tuna Nigiri: Texture was great, but taste was a little strong.
Came home and had peach cobbler ice cream. Super yum! Watched Little Shop of Horrors. Brad headed to work this morning, then he's coming back over afterwards. I think I'll cook for him tonight, but I don't know what to make. Also have to buy stuff to make Italian Cream Cupcakes for his birthday. |

My phone is superdy-duper-fucked. I can only make phone calls. It's going to cost me $100 for my insurance co-pay to replace my phone. Ugh.
Yesterday I went with Josh to go eat at Pluckers.
Today I went with Kim to Carl's Jr. Then to Ross, then Marshall's, then Borders, Petsmart (new air pump and bubble ring). Soon I'll get a 20 gallon tank, but I need to get all the other stuff too. (Gravel, filter, stand, decorative plants, etc) Recently bought a bigger filter for my 10 gallon tank. The 10 is all brightly candy colored. The 20 is going to be pirate themed. |

Still without my phone and Mina still hasn't even read the message i sent her asking her to check the back of her car for said phone. Argh. It's been almost a week.
I was going to go downtown today and talk to Jose about starting up my chestpiece but it was all rain and thunder this morning so I might not go. Maybe I'll stay here and clean my room. Especially since Matt K. will be here in about a week and a half. OMG, freaking out just a little bit.
Last night I grossed out my best friend Kim just a little bit. I ate lengua tacos for the first time, and definitely not the last time, omg so good. I think I grossed out her hubby Cole a little bit too.
Tuesday was my Mom's 50th bday and I didn't get to call her because I was without phone. Also my sister got her tubes tied on wednesday. Hallelujah!
Man I need a new icon, this one's from back during the mohawk days, when I was about to turn 20.
Yesterday while walking from the big N to Torrid, some guy was taking multiple pics of me. A few steps later, some guy turned to look at me, said "Daaaamn" in front of his girlfriend, and then got a few choice words from her. My life is interesting sometimes |
